We have been so busy, which is a good thing! We added Multi.Tap, spruced up the main site, and created an API for both services. We've also made some backend changes that you'll never see, but will enjoy the benefits of.

We have a couple of projects we'll jabber about another time, but thats a chat for another time

Keep enjoying the site!

Let see, we've added recent post, stats, and did some background tuning. By next week we should have the javascript perfected with better instructions. After that, look for the site to go into maintance mode while a couple of sister projects come into play.

Keep enjoying the site!

Just a couple of quick notes:

We've started advertising on the site. Right now we only want enough to pay for the hosting ($20 / month). We wanted to get with Google but they can't seem to find our account. Oh well.

The second note: We're atarting build button for you. Soon you will not have to pull up our entire website to create a TapURL. You'll just tap a button your browser. If you want to try the alpha version for yourself just drag and drop this link to your browser toolbar. After you do that a link should appear and you will be able tap url's right up.

This service went live over the weekend. It took about 8 hours to put it together. Man, I've learned so much in those 8 hours. For one thing: PHP handles databases really backwards. You can only have one connection open at a time. I wanted to defuse the load over two databases of teh same type at the same time. PHP will not let do so easily.

But enough of that. The second database was for logging redirection to give everyone some nifty stats. Well I've started logging the redirections. Its just being done through text files instead of database. I hope to over the weekend to build in a way to view the stats in some graphical way. The next planned step is to list recently added links. From there, non-random redirection names. I figure this will take two or three more weekends to get this where I want it.

Now you're asking yourself 'How can I help?' The answer is simple: Use the service. The more you use the service and post the urls, the more the word will get out. I have many additional plans not listed above which makes the future bright, if all we do is just enjoy the service.
